WEA Illawarra is a not-for-profit Community College, Registered Training Organisation and Public Benevolent Institution. We have been operating since 1913, proudly offering quality, community-based adult education, leisure, and work skills, nationally accredited training, and foundation skills. This is a Fixed Term contract until 30 June 2025, full-time (37.5 hours per week), or part-time negotiable for the right candidate.
The Outreach Support Officer’s role is to identify and engage with a diverse range of community members who are experiencing disadvantage or other social or economic participation challenges to:
Critical to the achievement of these objectives is identifying, developing and strengthening partnerships between WEA Illawarra and a range of service providers, community organisations and businesses in the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Wingecarribee Local Government Areas, to ensure the achievement of mutually beneficial outcomes on behalf of these organisations and their clients or employees, in line with the goals of the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Program.
