We are a well-established community education provider in search of an experienced Bookkeeper for 20 hours per week. Flexible choice of 4 days Monday to Friday. Start and finish times negotiable. Based in Wollongong this varied role includes bookkeeping and payroll duties as well as general administration and office duties related to maintenance of student records and operational functions. Reporting to the Training and Operations Manager you will be an integral part of a small, friendly team ensuring the smooth operation of our company’s services.Training will be available for our internal systems.
Some of the duties include:
- Payroll and all related activities
- Procurement functions
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, GST; Superannuation
- Maintain the payroll and accounting standard operating procedures
- Processing accounts receivable and payable
- Attending to payroll and accounting enquiries both internal and external
- Complete month end processes
- Claiming Contract payment
- Assist asset management process
Skills and personal requirements for this role:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in finance related roles
- Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification
- Advanced skills in EXCEL; MYOB and Databases is essential
- Excellent communication; analytical and time management skills
- Requirements for this role: You must be efficient and show attention to detail; have the ability to be proactive; solve problems; work unsupervised; have the ability to prioritise; multi task and be flexible and adaptable
- A team player with a sense of humour is a must for this role.
Salary: Level 4.1 of the WEA Illawarra Enterprise Agreement.
