Are you a rock solid administration professional with experience working in the not-for-profit sector with young people or in a school?
Are you compassionate, patient and interested in helping those who may have had a negative experience with traditional schooling in the past?
Join our education revolution in the frontline job of Administration Officer and help young people belong, grow and succeed in our alternative learning community:
Novo Education Space is an independent Special Assistance School for Years 9-12, registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority. Based in Wollongong with additional campuses in the Shoalhaven, our purpose is to provide learning opportunities which foster the development of capable, confident and self-assured young people who are connected to their community and able to forge a path to a productive future.
We have a permanent, part-time (25 hours/week) Administration Officer position based at our Wollongong Campus, commencing as soon as possible in Term 1, 2023. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-2pm during term weeks only. Personal, annual and other leave entitlements apply, and unpaid leave applies during school holiday periods. We are able to average your weekly salary across all 52 weeks of the school year so you are not without pay during non-term weeks.
You will have a strong values-base for the work you do as an administrator which aligns with Novo Education Space values and the way we work in our self-reflective community of practice. Experience in a not-for-profit organisation or school will be highly regarded.
Novo Education Space enrols a high proportion of First Nations students. We are continually learning and growing in our diversity and inclusion commitment and practice. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations people, culturally, linguistically, gender or other diverse people for this role.
