The Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) is a national not-for-profit association of lawyers, academics and other professionals dedicated to protecting and promoting justice, freedom and the rights of the individual. We advocate for law reform on key policy priorities connected with justice, human rights and compensation. We are a small team based in Sydney, working with members from around Australia. Our members include leading solicitors and barristers in their field.
We are currently seeking a conference and event planner to help organise our roster of industry events on a 12-month parental leave contract.
Our ideal candidate has experience planning events at a member association or another not-for-profit organisation. You will be motivated, self-directed and happy to work either independently or as a part of a team. You will be friendly, flexible and open minded, and enjoy working closely with our staff team and a wide range of members with diverse skills, experience and interests. You will be willing to travel overnight within Australia approximately once a month to manage our events on site.
The role is based in the Sydney CBD but some days can be worked remotely. This is a full-time position but part-time options could be considered.
