Our NSW Parliamentary team has created major change for animals by outlawing puppy farming, cruel animal experiments and so much more. Our social media is integral to achieving our wins for animals in Parliament.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this exciting new role, you’ll help film and edit short-form videos and edit images for MP Emma Hurst's social platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with our team to ensure we get reach for our broader campaigns and effect change for animals through NSW Parliament.

The 11 days work will be between 1st July - 8th August 2025 with flexibility on which days are worked during that period. Casual and other work is likely to occur after August as well.

  • Your up-to-date resume outlining your skills and experience as relevant to this position,
  • A covering letter detailing your specific demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills with regards to each of the following desirable criteria

Desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement and ability to perform at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment.
  • An interest in, and understanding of, the Australian political context and animal welfare.
  • Good word processing/keyboard and computer skills in an office environment.
  • Experience with Canva or Photoshop or similar program
  • Video editing skills
  • Creativity with a keen eye for detail
  • Understanding of social media platforms, trends and and reach optimisation.
