We're still actively seeking passionate, committed people to stand as Animal Justice Party candidates in several key target areas across Victoria.

These electorates are critical to shifting the balance of power at the 2026 election, and we need local voices who are ready to step forward and represent a better future for animals and communities. If endorsed, you will join a wonderful community of both seasoned and first-time candidates and will receive training, guidance, and support throughout. We're accepting applications from all across Victoria.

We are open to both paper and active applicants:

• As a paper candidate, you would appear on the ballot and the AJP website, but would otherwise not campaign.
• As an active candidate, you will be encouraged to run your own campaign with support from the party.

This is the single most impactful way you can contribute to the objectives of the Animal Justice Party. You don’t need to be a politician, you just need conviction, and a willingness to stand up for those without a voice.

You don’t need to be a political expert or have prior experience - most of our candidates have never run for office before. What matters most is a genuine commitment to standing up for animals and your community.
