Remote / Work from Home
The Australian Indigenous Governance Institute (AIGI) is an Indigenous-led national centre specialising in governance knowledge and excellence. We support the economic, social, and cultural aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by connecting them with world-class governance practice, research, thought leadership and educational resources.
Our headquarters are located at the Brisbane Technology Park in Eight Mile Plains, Queensland, with staff working remotely in various Australian states and territories, and we are proudly governed by an all-Indigenous Board of Directors. Our current strategic plan was launched in 2022 and will complete it's cycle in 2025 with a strong focus on Governance Resources, Governance and Capability Strengthening, Partnerships and Sustainability.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer (Business Development and Operations) to join our team! This newly created role will report to the Director of Business Development, and assist in supporting the strategy execution through key business development, operational, and administrative tasks.

You are a self-motivated, energetic individual with a passion for acquiring new skills in order to produce the best outcomes for your projects. You enjoy working in a fast paced, agile environment with competing priorities and deadlines, and enjoy working across a board range of projects across several teams within the organisation.
You thrive working either independently or as part of a team to achieve collaborative goals and you genuinely enjoy building relationships, connecting with stakeholders and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders within the Indigenous community. You have strong emotional intelligence and understand the cultural sensitivities and significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' histories and futures in Australia.
We ask that you provide a cover letter addressing the selection criteria including your skills, experience and qualifications (maximum 2 pages) as well as your resume with your application.
