Australian Indigenous Doctors' Association Ltd is looking for an experienced and exceptional Content Creator on a Part time basis (4 days per week) to join our team, reporting to the Programs Coordinator.

The Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association (AIDA) is the national body representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors and medical students, focused on equitable health and life outcomes for Indigenous people. We do this by working towards reaching population parity of Indigenous medical students and doctors; and supporting a culturally safe healthcare system.
About the Cultural Safety Program
AIDA’s Cultural Safety Program is a clinically focused, Indigenous doctor led program delivering cultural safety education, implementation support and consultancy services across the medical education and health system.
The service is a core mechanism for advancing cultural safety, challenging racism, strengthening clinical practice, and contributing to AIDA’s long-term sustainability through a values aligned business arm.
Summary of Role
The Content Creator – Cultural Safety, is a creative, strategic and delivery focused role responsible for developing innovative, high quality, culturally grounded strategies and content that supports the growth, credibility and sustainability of AIDA’s Cultural Safety Program, including the development and communication of bespoke partnership and consultancy offerings.
Working with AIDA’s Cultural Safety team and Medical Educator, the role translates complex cultural safety, clinical and systems change work into compelling written, digital and multimedia content and resource development for diverse audiences including medical professionals, health services, universities, regulators, partners and the broader community.
Role and Responsibility
- Develop content that supports the growth of AIDA’s Cultural Safety Program as a national, credible and sustainable business arm.
- Support marketing, business development and partnership efforts through high quality, standards-aligned content.
- Support the development of bespoke partnerships and tailored cultural safety offerings by creating high-quality, partner-facing content that articulates AIDA’s value proposition, scope, and cultural authority.
- Produce culturally grounded written content including:
- Web and digital copy
- Thought leadership pieces and blogs
- Impact stories and evaluation summaries
- Program collateral, proposals and tender ready materials
- Plan, create and schedule content for AIDA’s social media channels aligned to strategic priorities.
- Develop campaigns that increase visibility of cultural safety work, culturally responsive medical leadership and program impact.
- Conceptualise, script and coordinate culturally safe video content for:
- Education promotion
- Impact storytelling
- Stakeholder and partner engagement
- Support the development of podcast concepts aligned to cultural safety, Indigenous medical leadership and health system reform.
- Contribute to the financial sustainability of AIDA’s Cultural Safety Program by developing content that supports efficient growth in enrolments, partnerships and consultancy services.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in content creation across written, digital and multimedia formats.
- Proven capability in social media management, digital storytelling and audience focused content design.
- Experience in video and/or audio production, including podcast development and editing.
- Strong understanding of cultural safety, anti racism and Indigenous led approaches, or demonstrated commitment to learning and working under Indigenous leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts clearly and ethically.
- Ability to manage multiple content streams, deadlines and stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience working in health, medical education, higher education or not for profit sectors.
- Experience supporting business development, consultancy or fee for service models.
- Familiarity with evaluation, impact reporting or evidence based storytelling.
- Experience working within culturally governed or Indigenous led organisations.
