the opportunity

AHL is looking for a Weekend Cook who is highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering quality services to our residents.

The key duties of the position/s include:

• Routine cooking and kitchen tasks in accordance with Food Safety Standards Australia and other relevant legislation. 
• Stock take management - rotate, receive and monitor food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned to standard.
• Prepare and clean the dining rooms for residents. 
• Provide a high level of customer service to AHL residents at all times.
• Perform duties which upholds AHL's commitment to safety for all staff and residents by practicing adhering relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures.
• Part-time role, working weekends – 30hours per fortnight.

Qualifications and Training: (or ability to complete within the first six months of employment)

• Food Safety Handling Certificate 
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (desirable)
• Other relevant qualifications or work experience in a similar role (desirable)
• Certificate II in Hospitality (desirable)
