The Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing expert sexual health and blood borne virus advice and support to Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) (Member Services) across Western Australia, with the aim of decreasing the incidence of STIs in Aboriginal peoples.
This role is responsible for the coordination, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of collaborative activities associated with the Sexual Health, Blood Borne Viruses and Hepatitis C programs and assists in the development and delivery of professional development programs to AHCWA’s Member Services.
Additionally, this position plays a crucial leadership role, coordinating a team of two, while building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) and Working with Children Check prior to appointment. Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia and will need to provide evidence of this entitlement, such as an Australian birth certificate.
