ABOUT THE VICTORIAN GREENS

By retaining our Greens MPs and expanding our parliamentary team by winning additional lower house seats, the Greens could be in balance of power. In this position we can push the next government to go further and faster on the climate crisis, create an integrity commission with teeth and ensure everyone has an affordable home of their own.

Over the course of the last four decades the Greens have become the third force in Australian politics, with members elected to represent their communities at every level of government. We are a grassroots party that relies on the support of thousands of members and volunteers from across the state.

The Greens are much more than an environmental party. The Greens are also working in many other areas to champion integrity, decency and fairness. As well as representing constituents, the Greens speak on behalf of those who wouldn’t otherwise get much of a say inside parliament: children, refugees, students, individuals and families living in poverty and, of course, our natural environment.

We’re currently preparing for the 2022 State election which will be held on Saturday November 26, 2022.
