Application Summary

COVID-19 is a once in a 100-year event, and an opportunity like few others. Not only can we play an important role, we must. With the right team, it is likely we will build a new entity that can thrive in the post-COVID world – akin to AirBNB during the GFC, and Google following the .COM crash. Despite the ease of lockdowns in some locations, many countries - particularly those in the developing world - are still facing a massive crisis and dilemma for how to manage COVID-19 in the short and long term.

As we are just starting the fundraising phase, we are looking for people who are happy to work for part cash salary / part equity or a part deferred payment (convertible note) as an independent contractor.

We have set up a subsidiary company for this effort however, and your contributions will make you a part owner and founding member. As new projects are secured, salary will progressively move to full cash payments (plus ESOP).

Full Stack Software Developer Role**

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to produce scalable web and mobile applications. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end work where you will work alongside designers to create design consistent applications and back-end work where you can use your skills to create and analyse code, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.

**Front-end, Back-end, and Android developers with at least 3 year’s experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Skills & Experience

• Experience with web front end technologies – HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript
• Understanding and knowledge of (at least 1)
  • C# (Framework 4.8 or Core 3.1)
  • SQL (SQL-SERVER)
• Strong knowledge of working with web APIs, including both request and streaming variants
• Experience working within a DevOps culture
• Experience and desire to work with agile development methodology
• Strong experience delivering public facing web and mobile applications
• Knowledge of at least one of the following - Node.js, Angular, React.JS
• Knowledge of Reactive app design
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven problems solving and analytical skills
• Passionate about emerging technologies
• Strong level of curiosity
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical field (information systems, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, science etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Database proficiency, including traditional SQL & Document Databases
• Experience with Azure/other cloud platforms

Responsibilities:

• Determining the structure and design of web and mobile app pages
• Working with the CTO and other developers on the core backend application architecture
• Developing features to enhance the user experience
• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design
• Building reusable code for future use
• Utilising a variety of markup languages to write web pages and applications
• Collaborating with other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices
• Taking lead on projects as needed
