What We're Looking For

Minimum 5 years experience as a registered nurse, and have a good understanding of NDIS code of conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

As the clinical Nurse advisor, you will be responsible for administrating NDIS compliances, Audits, review of Policy and procedures for Community nursing and High Intensity Daily Support services. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Support in completing a NDIS audit preparation and interview for High Intensity Daily Personal Activities
  • Provide training, coaching and guidance to all staff, nurses, support workers to implement best practices home and community care
  • Demonstrating a commitment to best practice, ensuring all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with the policy and procedures and NDIS guidelines
  • Implement, review, and advise on Nursing policy and procedures
  • Traveling between participant's homes providing individual and personalised care plans,
  • Medication administration and complex clinical care supports, ie complex bowel care, catheter care, stoma care, enteral feeding care, complex wound care + more
  • Monitoring and communicating on participant's well-being
  • Conducting skills assessments of staff performing complex care services as required
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend training if required
  • Administrative and Support Coordinator assistance

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • NDIS worker’s screening clearance (or willingness to apply for clearance)
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Australian drivers licence
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Current first aid certificate & Current CPR (annual)
  • National police check
  • Relevant NDIS Orientation modules
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID 19)
