We are seeking a Part-Time (0.8 FTE) Funding and Partnerships officer to join our team (Full time hours can be considered for the right applicant). The role would be in our office on Boorloo country (Rivervale) but may have opportunities to travel to our regional offices throughout WA.
The successful applicant needs to be dynamic go-getter who can hit the ground running and enjoy working with a degree of autonomy.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing person for the role of Funding and Partnership Officer to provide administration, stewardship and management of key philanthropic donors. You will work closely with our AFLS team and need to have a strong, community and stakeholder engagement and relationship building background.
Some of your duties will include:
- Identifying, pursuing, and securing corporate sponsorship.
- Developing and maintaining a strong network of philanthropic donors.
- Developing appropriate partnership engagement resources and strategies, including communication strategies.
- Driving donation messaging using AFLS social media outlets, website and with AFLS supporters.
- Responsible for the efficient and timely management of all administrative tasks which support the development and completion of request applications.
- Responsible for developing regular and ad hoc reports which provide accurate insight into donor base.
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ work experience in Funding seeking and Partnership development.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- Understanding of the business and cultural requirements of working for an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to plan, implement and track work.
- Demonstrated creativity and initiative, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to travel.
Desirable
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector.
ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Current ‘C’ Class WA Driver’s License
- Current Police Clearance Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
