Inner Sydney Empowered Communities (ISEC) have unique opportunities available in Sydney! The AES is leading the recruitment for these exciting roles.

ISEC is one of ten regions leading the Empowered Communities reform in Australia. ISEC works closely with and takes strategic direction from Aboriginal Community Alliance Groups in Redfern and La Perouse. These groups are made up of community controlled organisations who are tasked with addressing a wide range of social and community development challenges and opportunities for the inner Sydney region. 

If you value the opportunity to work alongside community leaders, are a strategic thinker with excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills, and can drive and deliver results, this unique role is for you!

Examples of essential criteria include:

  • Ability to facilitate open and challenging discussions with a range of stakeholders including community, government and corporate.
  • Demonstrated community development and project management skills.
  • High level written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects from start to finish.
  • Research and analytical skills
