About the Role:
Are you passionate about equality, climate justice, a fair go for refugees and people seeking asylum? Do you want to change the rigged system that favours big corporations and big money over people and our planet? We are looking for Neighbourhood Organisers to build and lead teams of volunteers to have thousands of conversations with voters in the upcoming state and federal elections. You will be a key campaign leader helping to implement our campaign strategy at the grassroots level. You will build and support a team of volunteers in your community to have conversations with your neighbours about the issues they care about and how voting Green can make a difference. You will help to train volunteers and identify potential leaders.
This is a dynamic role - each week will be different. The role will require approximately 6-10 hours per week as the election heats up. You will meet fellow amazing Greens volunteers and supporters, working alongside them to stand up for what matters. You will make a real difference in state and federal politics, helping to turn more seats Green and ensure Adam returns to Parliament for another term. As a Neighbourhood Organiser, you will be someone who:

Responsibilities:
- Be supported by the Inner Melbourne Greens to build a local team in your neighbourhood, by recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to reach our campaign goals.
- Create a strong team culture and an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds, abilities and identities.
- Build strong accountability structures with team members.
- Report on events and targets.
- Work closely with regional organisers to plan and execute neighbourhood strategies and disseminate this information to Doorknock Coordinators and volunteers.
- Work closely with regional organisers to ensure neighbourhood targets are being met.
- Communicate regularly with Regional Organiser and pass on information.
- Share resources and best practice with other organisers.
- Assist in maintaining the database of community contacts, supporters and volunteers.
- Ensure team members have agreed to and uphold the Inner Melbourne Campaign Code of conduct.
