The Role

We’re looking for a creative person to fill our vacancy for the role of Graphic Designer (Growth) and play a key role in our team of digital content creators.

Reporting to the Visual Design Lead (Growth), you will be responsible for producing visual content that matches our organisation’s brand, aesthetic, and marketing strategy, including social media graphics, video animations, website banners, merchandise and promotional artwork.

You will work across social and digital media platforms to drive projects that advance the ACTU’s communications and design, with a specific focus on driving recruitment of new members through organic and paid video, social and digital media content. You will also provide graphic design support to the ACTU’s leadership for major presentations and events.

The ideal candidate should be able to take an idea and create engaging pieces of communication for our audiences. In this role, creativity, organisational, experimentation, and technical skills are key, and all candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

About you

You’re a digital or graphic designer with 3-5 years’ experience who wants to work with purpose. You want to make a positive change to the lives of millions of people. You’ve worked at an agency, production or design studio, and are sick of the grind.

You have a portfolio filled with digital integrated campaign work. You’re able to help come up with new ideas for our growth campaigns, then jump on the tools and turn concepts into a finished product – either by yourself or with your colleagues.

You can get things done quickly when needed, as well as take the time to make things great. You’re proactive, well organised, happy to take feedback and hungry to learn and develop new skills.
