Working with Community Services Directorate (CSD) offers you the opportunity to directly contribute to supporting the Canberra Community. Everyday our diverse workforce collaborates and drives client centred services to assist the community in creating a safe and equitable environment across the ACT. Housing Assistance is responsible for the provision and management of public housing services in the Territory, in addition to homelessness services, community housing, housing policy and asset management. With an aim to be an innovative and effective social housing provider and responsive to the needs of its clients while fostering a safe strong and cohesive community. We currently have a vacancy for a Client Engagement Officer to join our team. Client Engagement Officers are responsible for responding to and addressing enquiries directed to Housing ACT by tenants, applicants and the broader Canberra Community.
The role is responsible for responding to telephone calls, physical presentations in the Central Access Point and via email, in addition to other duties as required. Consistent online and phone communication and engagement is also a key requirement of the role.

Note: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
