We have an exciting opportunity in our team for an enthusiastic and proactive Project Support Officer (PSO) to join us as we continue our trajectory forward. With an external Road Safety Specialist, the PSO will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a grant funded project.

what you'll be doing:

  • Monitoring project deliverables and project timelines; tracking workflow and priorities across the project to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Develop documentation/progress reports for the Project Advisory Team, ACRS Executive Council and other governance committees as required.
  • With the Grants Manager, provide scheduled progress reports to the funding body.
  • With the Finance Manager, monitor financial transactions related to the project and provide progress reports.
  • High level executive support to manage day-today operations.
  • Coordinating meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support to online meetings and presentations.
  • Provide secretariat support for meetings, including agendas, collating papers, taking actions and scribing.
  • Assist with the development of the survey, interviews and roundtables.
  • Provide timely and effective communication with project stakeholders and the ACRS staff as required.
  • Collate documents/information as required.
  • Proof read, edit and format documentation to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Book travel as required.
  • Attend meetings, as needed.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities within the scope of this role as required.

what you should have:

Key capabilities:

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven project management skills with an ability to monitor progress and prioritise tasks.
  • Proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated in a remote working environment.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Experience in report editing and formatting with meticulous attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a membership-based or not-for-profit (NFP) organisation.
  • Obtained a recognised certificate/degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

Hours & REmote working:

The Project Support Officer hours are negotiable, up to 1.0FTE, and the successful applicant will work remotely. The successful candidate will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
