Job purpose:

As a Roster Response Officer, you will be responsible for the deployment and optimisation of the labour workforce across Achieve Australia. You will provide a cost-effective rostering practice across the organisation that enhances service delivery, develop and manage the rostering system, along with providing end user training and support. To succeed you will need to be a fast learner, highly organised and be driven to achieve results.

Roster Response Unit - Job Requirements

  • Co-ordinating day-to-day rostering requirements across the organisation
  • Direct and allocate resources as needed, ensuring that business processes have been followed
  • Promote workforce efficiency and ensure that operational needs have been met
  • Minimise the workforce cost by using smart rostering principles
  • Escalate any shifts that are unable to be filled and/or service issues within appropriate time frames and procedures
  • Update and maintain VisiCase as changes occur

Selection criteria:

To be successful in this role you will be required to address the following selection criteria:

  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Build and maintain trust and confidence of stakeholders through consistent performance and delivering on services
  • Demonstrated communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise a demanding workload
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of rostering systems, HR practices and award principles
  • Advanced computer literacy e.g. Excel
  • Workforce scheduling
  • Expertise in planning, problem solving, evaluation and co-ordination
  • Proficiency with workforce management tools
  • Rostering / scheduling / workforce planning experience
