The National Biodiversity Policy Adviser leads the development of compelling and evidence-based policy solutions to increase the protection and restoration of Australia’s biodiversity and identify opportunities to build momentum for reform.
The successful candidate will build relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders from Federal and State politicians to government department officials and scientific experts and work to get policy-solutions nature needs enacted by decision-makers.
You are passionate about protecting and restoring our forests, rivers, wetlands, and wildlife.
You have a nuanced understanding of Australia’s biodiversity, environmental regulations, and policies and have a keen eye for opportunities for reform.
You can speak the language of researchers, policy experts, politicians, and journalists and build long-lasting relationships.
You can quickly get your head around complex new data and information and distil it into salient policy, advice, or campaign strategy.
You’ll do important work with one of Australia’s most impactful organisations, and with our world-class organisational culture and great team, we guarantee you’ll have fun along the way.
