Who is the ACF?

When it comes to our environment, the Australian Conservation Foundation has been leading the way in protecting our living world for over half a century.

We are the national environment organisation committed to caring for Australia’s unique and beautiful wildlife and natural world. We’re inclusive, non-partisan and funded by the Australian community.

Whether it’s advocating for the Great Barrier Reef, koalas snoozing in big old trees or for strong climate action, our dedicated community of more than half a million people are constantly working to create a world where forests, rivers, people, and wildlife thrive.

What’s the gig?

The Lead Corporate Organiser will lead the development of the Corporate Campaign team’s strategies for organising, mobilising and engaging supporters as part of our work to shift corporations away from climate and nature wrecking behaviours and towards a climate and nature positive future.

The role will be responsible for developing and executing the overall strategy for how we engage our supporters within the corporate campaigns team and will have a particular focus on our campaigns targeting the financial sector and the food sector.

The role works highly collaboratively with the respective campaign leads for our food and finance sector work, as well as with our organising and digital mobilising teams to create and execute impactful strategies that support the achievement of ACF’s nature and climate and energy campaign goals.

About you!

You have worked previously in a campaigning, mobilising, or organising role and know the importance of people power to make change. You enjoy working with different types of people and helping them to grow their skills as advocates on issues they care about.

You understand the power people have to make change to the way corporations invest and act and are excited to help them make this change. You can see the bigger picture and can apply what you’ve learned to design strategies and tactics to engage, excite and empower supporters and target audiences.

You enjoy variety in your work and are comfortable balancing multiple streams of work at once, in the pursuit of big, ambitious goals. You make good decisions and commit to action even with incomplete information, you use your creativity to overcome problems and come up with innovative solutions that you champion across the organisation.

You enjoy working in a team on a common goal, you like learning new skills and enjoy celebrating shared success. You love bringing people together behind an idea and using your expertise and theirs to make it work.

You know that the voices of all types of people are required to win our campaigns and you are committed to building an inclusive and equitable movement where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

Why work for us?

You’ll do important work with one of Australia’s most impactful organisations, and with our world-class organisational culture and great team, we guarantee you’ll have fun along the way.
