The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a member-based organisation whose principal role is the training, assessment and professional development of emergency doctors for Australia and New Zealand.

The Position

A rare opportunity has become available for an Events Coordinator to join the College on a full-time/permanent basis. Reporting to the Events Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to provide end-to-end support for College’s Scientific and Faculty Meetings/Events, in addition to other ad hoc major events.

The key responsibilities of the role shall include, but not be limited to:

• Responsibility for organisational and administrative aspects of College Scientific and Faculty Meetings.
• Event budget management.
• Event sponsorship lead and sales management for state and New Zealand-based faculty meetings.
• Liaison with Professional Conference Organisers (PCO), event contractors, venue providers, conference suppliers and delegates, and conference organising committees.
• Managing the implementation of standard operating procedures related to the conduct of College Scientific Meetings including databases, event management timeline manuals, templates and forms.

This dynamic and fast-paced role will suit an organised individual who thrives on multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment. Our ideal candidate will bring:

• Extensive experience in large-scale event management
• A positive can-do attitude
• Experience in EventsAir or On Air
• A passion for the health sector
• Previous experience within a membership-based organisation or a Professional Conference Organiser will be highly regarded.
