Our dedicated Youth Homelessness Team supports vulnerable young people to access crisis, transitional and long-term accommodation, reconnect with family and build independent living skills.

Youth Workers strive to provide a safe and nurturing homelike environment for young people that support capacity building, life skills and supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Our young people can come with mental health concerns, childhood trauma, substance use issues, learning and development disabilities and disengagement from education and pro-social recreation activities. Our Youth Workers must be resilient, creative, solutions focused and have a real passion and commitment to our young people.

This role provides the opportunity to make a difference in a young person’s life and support them to transition to a brighter future.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or Community Development or progression toward a vocational or tertiary human service qualification.
• Experience with case management support and contribute to the implementation of participation, safety and cultural plans.
• Demonstrated experience with managing complex or challenging behaviour.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for record keeping and case
