Werin Aboriginal Corporation Medical Centre is on the lookout for a talented and values-aligned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and drive financial operations that directly support culturally safe and community-focused healthcare delivery.

This role is ideal for someone seeking senior-level responsibility with real strategic influence, without direct reports — and offers a hybrid working arrangement tailored to your needs.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, compliance and cashflow management
• Provide expert strategic and financial advice to the CEO and leadership team
• Manage funding agreement oversight and statutory reporting
• Ensure financial sustainability and performance across the organisation
• Contribute to organisational strategy and financial literacy across teams
• Work closely with external auditors and maintain relationships with funders

No two days will be the same — your insight will help shape the financial direction of one of the region’s most respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.

About You

We’re looking for a mid-senior level professional who is:

• CPA/CA qualified or has equivalent experience
• Experienced in managing finances across small to medium multifaceted organisations
• A strong communicator, collaborator, and strategic thinker
• Well-versed in compliance, budgeting, forecasting and risk
• Able to navigate funding agreements, audits, and legislative frameworks
• Passionate about working in a values-driven and community-minded setting
• Experience in health or NFP sectors is highly regarded but not essential.
