The Opportunity

The ICT Security Analyst is responsible for cybersecurity across Abt Associates Australia and Abt Associates Britain technology platforms and processes, and ensuring all relevant policies, procedures and ICT solutions are fit for purpose.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Be the trusted advisor for ICT security across Abt Associates corporate and program operations
  • Ensure security of Abt Associates data & networks is being continually improved and aligned with industry standards
  • Identify, document and articulate security standards for a wide range of products
  • Deliver user awareness sessions to improve cyber security awareness and posture
  • Undertake security assessments including vulnerability scanning
  • Coordinate the triage of security incidents

Key Requirements

The preferred applicant will have the following:

  • 3-5 years of relevant ICT security experience
  • Thorough understanding of networking, system administration, architectures and security elements to include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtualisation technologies, encryption, and servers
  • Ability to identify, understand, articulate and manage risks across technical disciplines
  • Ability to prioritise remediation efforts in a timely and repeatable manner for identified risks
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to proactively manage customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
