About Us

AAAC was established in 2009 and is an Aboriginal owned not-for-profit corporation, governed by a locally elected Board of Directors representing community members of Ltyentye Apurte. AAAC provides advocacy, support, and assistance to the people of Ltyentye Apurte through local social enterprises, employment, and programs for youth, babies, young mums, families, and elders.

Eligible Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.

What we need you to do

As part of a small team, the Enterprises Manager will work closely with the AAAC management to develop and strengthen social enterprise projects. The key roles and responsibilities of this position are to manage and support the enterprises and to help establish new enterprises by:

  • Ensuring any growth of the enterprises is sustainable within the remote community context
  • Setting objectives / activities for each enterprise & monitor same in partnership with staff
  • To manage business planning for all enterprises
  • To manage operational, human resources, marketing and financial matters for all enterprises in collaboration with the AAAC/STE management team
  • To ensure all enterprises are compliant with the legislative and regulatory bodies

Some of the duties of the position are managerial and some are practical and each enterprise comes with specific opportunities and challenges. The context requires the successful applicant to have both a strategic view of the enterprises while occasionally implementing day to day activities.
