Nano Nagle Network works with young people who are disengaged from mainstream education with the aim of re-engaging them in creative, meaningful and intentional learning. Our schools work with young people through a trauma informed approach respectful to the educational needs of each learner.

The Role:

  • We are seeking exceptional individuals for our Flexible Learning Centres in Victoria, to join the STEP-UP2U Project, a social-education-inclusion project that will provide a range of well-constructed activities that address the drivers of anti-social and criminal behaviour for high-risk young people.
  • This role will work unconventional hours with the successful candidate being employed on a full-time basis. The program will be run in the afternoons on weekdays through to 8pm and then weekends during the day.
  • You will be employed on an fixed-term 18-month, commencing ASAP and will be employed under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018.
  • The role is based in Carlton, with travel to the school site in North Melbourne.

You will need:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Youth work, Social work, or criminal justice field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check
  • The ability to inspire and engage young people
  • Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential
  • Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty.
