About the role

Join a dynamic generalist HR team where you'll support a range of daily BAU tasks, initiatives, and the continual embedding of our HRIS (ELMO). This is a great opportunity ideally suited to an efficient and detail-orientated individual looking to build on their HR skills and knowledge while developing and implementing process improvement projects.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this is a part-time (35 hours) ongoing position with flexible work options (Hybrid WFH plus working from our 3 sites across Darebin).

Your passion and commitment will see you:

  • Undertake a broad range of HR tasks and manage various BAU priorities as they arise
  • Engage in autonomous work with your assigned departments and work collaboratively on projects as part of the People and Culture team
  • Take a mature approach to sensitive issues and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Work with directors and managers to determine their needs and to gain their commitment to a range of People and Culture matters;
  • Learn and utilise a diverse range of HR software tools to enhance and streamline HR processes (ELMO, Jira and MS Office Suite).

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • A relevant qualification in HR or previous experience in a Human Resources advisor/generalist/support role
  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of People and Culture Projects
  • A passion for system/database administration and the ability to analyse and make improvements (prior knowledge of ELMO highly desirable)
  • A confident ability and knowledge to interpret relevant legislative, statutory and Enterprise Bargaining Agreement requirements

As a YourCH employee in this role you must have:

  • A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (employee only)
  • A Satisfactory Police Check (paid for by YourCH)
