Your Community Health provides a comprehensive range of medical, dental and allied health services and support programs to anyone, through a combination of outreach, client-based and centre-based activities. We provide priority access to those most at risk of health inequalities and those that may face barriers to accessing traditional health services.

About the role

Your Community Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Health Clinical Coordinator to join the Primary Care Directorate on a full time, fixed term basis to August 2024.

Reporting to the Oral Health Manager, the Oral Health Clinical Coordinator (OHCC) has direct line management responsibilities for the Senior Dental Assistants and oral health clinical workforce.

In addition, and in accordance with the OHCCs qualifications and scope of clinical practice; the OHCC will provide clinical dental services to clients; and professional supervision and clinical leadership to the oral health team.

This exciting and dynamic role will see you provide leadership to the various Oral Health program offerings including:

  • Public dental services (15 chairs, 3 sites)
  • Smile Squad (4 vans, visiting 86 school campuses annually)
  • Private Dental Services
  • Outreach services

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification eligible for registration as an Oral Health Therapist with AHPRA Dental Board of Australia.
  • Current, unrestricted registration as an Oral Health Therapist (Dental Hygienist / Dental Therapist) with AHPRA Dental Board of Australia.
  • Experience in management or clinical leadership related to Oral Health.
  • Ionizing Radiation Apparatus Use License in Victoria for Intra-Oral Radiography.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Current Drivers Licence.

Preferred:

  • Scope of practice for Adult Dental Therapy (Extended scope of Practice). Can be either undergraduate or post graduate coursework.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Management, Health Leadership or Public Health.
  • Ionizing Radiation Apparatus Use License in Victoria for Dental Panoramic Radiography
