Youth Projects are on the hunt for an amazing Casual Vocational trainer who can deliver some hospitality, barista and RSA training to join our training team. We provide training and assessment in a range of accredited and non-accredited Hospitality inspired programs to those who are looking to find work, or gain more skills for personal use. We have a fully functioning Industrial kitchen and our Good2Go Café for students who need some work experience.

About the Role

The primary role of the Vocational Trainer & Assessor (Hospitality) is to deliver and assess ACFE funded programs, Barista training and Responsible Service of Alcohol training. This role will cover a range of days and programs and will suit someone who can be available anytime, or has set days they are available, that we can work with.

This role requires:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or higher qualification in Adult Education; or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the additional units required by the National VET Regulator.
  • Current qualification in Hospitality and RSA Trainer Accreditation, along with current industry experience.
  • Experience delivering training to adults in an RTO requiring compliance to a government funding contract.

What we need from you:

  • Prepare and deliver vocational training and assessment which is engaging; learner focused, and based on adult learning theories and techniques.
  • Undertake pre-assessment of potential students to check their suitability to training, and to ensure the program matches their vocational plans.
  • Undertake program administration to ensure contractual compliance is maintained.
  • Participate in the YP and MTO teams with activities such as validation; team meetings; providing information to prospective students at open days and expos.

This role is a Casual position (days required will vary from 3 per month to 3 per week) with the opportunity to grow the role as enrolment numbers grow.
