We are on the hunt for experienced Needle Syringe Program Workers to join our North/West outreach team.
You are an enabler who successfully engages, supports, and educates clients.
You’re passionate about working with at-risk and vulnerable people and you know your stuff when it comes to safe use and can provide education in a flexible, client-focused way.
You have experience in the provision of high-quality, responsive Needle Syringe Program (NSP) services and/or a commitment to the principles of harm minimisation.
You’re across all the health issues facing injecting drug users and an ability to relate and communicate with injecting drug users around these issues
The NWOS team provides efficient and responsive needle and syringe distribution and disposal services in the Northwest Melbourne region through outreach, education, resources, and supported referral using harm reduction and community development principles.
We are an independent, registered charity providing front line support to young people and people experiencing homelessness to open up pathways out of poverty and homelessness - breaking the cycle of disadvantage. Our focus is on respect, client-centred care, and harm prevention so people can lead longer lives, have improved health, meaningful employment, and a greater sense of belonging, safety, and security through our holistic model of care.

This role will be based at our Glenroy HQ with outreach across Northwest Melbourne.
In order to attract strong talent, we pay competitively and remunerate based on your skills and experience and are determined to make this the best job you'll ever have. The NSP Outreach Worker is paid under the SCHADS Award (Level 3).
