About the role

You will be a caring Early Learning Educator creating a tranquil and positive environment for children to learn and thrive.
Adopting the modern techniques of teaching, you will be well-versed with the National Framework in Early Learning. Your role will involve:

  • Working with, and under the direction of the Room Leader to plan and implement quality programs for children responding to their individual strengths and interests using an approved curriculum framework as the platform for planning, practice and reflection
  • Following an approved curriculum, where you will be a rRole modeling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
  • Planning, developing and implementing quality programs for children where there is room for practice and reflection
  • Preparing and clearing up of activities while acknowledging and responding to children’s strengths and interests and capturing key learnings
  • Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
  • Possessing a great eye for details, record keeping and documenting without getting flustered
  • Ability to forge connection with children, nurturing their curiosity and expanding their skillset and overall development

About the Centre

Clyde North Moroak Crescent opened its doors in January 2019, offering places for children from 6 weeks to four years old integrated and sessional Kindergarten.

This exciting role assists with enriching children so they can develop to their full potential in Early Learning Programs, Kindergarten and Before and After School care settings. For us, good health isn't only about physical health, we build their resilience and develop strong mental and spiritual wellbeing. Our continuously improving programs reach out to children in the most holistic way possible, ensuring they confidently take steps toward a healthier and happier future.

This role will require a strong customer focus and the exceptional delivery of the National Quality Framework in Early Learning. You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you drive community and family engagement, with children at the heart of our service philosophy.

About you

You will be a passionate Early Childhood Educator committed to pulling up your socks to delivering a superior service for children and their parents. You will:

  • Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, Victorian Early Years Framework and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act
  • Possess great verbal and written communication skills and can provide parents with effective feedback and encourage them to meet with the Room Leader to discuss children’s development
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence to be able to remain calm and composed on the face of anger and frustration
  • Ability to handle and respond to unforeseen accidents, incidents and emergencies while putting up a brave face and remaining calm
  • Have a natural flair in building positive working relationships with stakeholders and driving results
  • Self-motivated, committed and bringing your best self to work

All candidates will be required to undertake background and probity checks including Reference Checks, a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check prior to commencement.

Qualifications and Licences

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood/Children’s services
  • First Aid Level 2
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate
  • Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
