One month of independent travel to World Challenge destinations
40+ days of experience leading extended bushwalking or multiday journeys of 4+ nights

Bushwalking Requirements
Australia TAFE and Accredited RTO: Cert IV or Diploma in Outdoor Recreation (with Bushwalking Guide in Intermediate Environments or Equivalent)
Latrobe University: Bachelor of Physical and Outdoor Recreation / Bachelor of Outdoor Education (with required subjects)
Victoria University: Outdoor Recreation or Outdoor Education Degrees with Expedition Leadership
The Outdoor Education Group Bushwalking Restricted Level 2
Roping Requirements
Accredited RTO: Single Pitch Abseiling
TAFE and Accredited RO: Abseiling Instruct Natural Surface Single Pitch/Multi Pitch
La Trobe University: Teaching in Rock Environments as an Elective in 3rd year

Attend a Potential Leader Course
Your journey starts on our 3–day assessment course, where you will be assessed on the key competencies detailed above. In addition we will evaluate your ability to demonstrate awareness of the World Challenge approach to leadership and effective engagement.
