The Office of the Work Health and Safety Commissioner, operationally known as WorkSafe ACT, is a fully independent office headed by the WHS Commissioner, who is the Territory's regulator.
A planned program of work is currently being implemented to improve our operational efficiency and effectiveness. WorkSafe ACT is committed to cultural and organisational change to become a professional, modern, intelligence-led and responsive regulator.
We have an exciting permanent vacancy for a suitably skilled professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Corporate, Governance and Procurement within the Corporate, Capability and People Branch.
The Branch delivers a suite of corporate support services to WorkSafe ACT. The Corporate Team is responsible for undertaking a range of business functions such as coordinating and managing facilities and property matters, ICT equipment, fleets and overseeing internal audits, procurement procedures and record keeping requirements.
In this role you will lead a team to manage business objectives aimed at improving the corporate, governance and procurement aspects of WorkSafe ACT and delivering excellent corporate business support to achieve our strategic priorities.
The role is responsible for overseeing and managing the business functions and the governance requirements of the agency, including managing and undertaking research and analysis to ensure effective delivery of prescribed outcomes.
You will apply your established leadership, project management, coordination and negotiation skills to lead the agency’s corporate services, governance and procurement matters include ensuring that they are contemporary and in accordance with best practice.
