We are seeking an experienced Family Violence Leader to step into this newly created Team Lead role within our new Refuge! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 7 starting at $110,907.68 plus superannuation + $15,990 salary packaging.

Here at GenWest we are excited to have recently opened our high security refuge victim survivors of family violence. As a Team Leader your primary focus is to provide leadership and operational oversight of the Refuge to support the journey to recovery for victim survivors escaping family violence.

Reporting to the Refuge Manager, the Team Leader will support day to day operations of the refuge and accompanying properties, and support employees after hours.

Our new Refuge is located in the Sunshine area and this position is available on a part-time (0.8 or 0.9) or full-time basis.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing, leading and developing a team of direct reports, including allocation and monitoring of workload to ensure best practice management standards.
• Ensuring the refuge and services delivers high quality, evidence based, family violence interventions to individuals and families.
• Leading and coaching workers in how to resolve complex case management issues, providing support, supervision and debriefing to staff regarding issues associated with vicarious trauma
• Establishing methods and systems within the workplace to foster reflective and culturally safe practices.
• Monitoring data collection, records management and reporting to ensure they meet requirements of funding bodies.
