We are seeking an experienced professional to step into our new Learning & Development Manager role! This role will be available on a 0.8 to full-time basis on a SHADS Level 8+ (starting at $126,000.00) plus superannuation and $15,990 salary sacrificing.

GenWest (formerly Women’s Health West) is a family violence support service. We deliver programs that support communities to lead safe and healthy lives. We support people based in Melbourne’s west.

The Learning & Development Manager leads best practise skill building in family violence service delivery and prevention. Responsible for partnering with teams providing support for people experiencing family and/or domestic violence, you will identify and meet the organisation’s strategic and operational needs for learning and development.

This specialist role is responsible for supporting organisation wide capability specifically identifying, creating, and implementing development frameworks focused on enhancing family violence service delivery.

You will be responsible for:

  • Create, develop and imbed family violence specific training across the organisation including onboarding, micro and experiential learning
  • Create and oversee onboarding & inductions including pathways for clinical and non-clinical employees
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the MARAM framework, ensuring practise across the organisation reflects MARAM
  • Manage learning and development programs from creation to completion
  • Champion and support feminist principles, an intersectional lens, and trauma informed practices

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years Family Violence and/or community services experience
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports, ideally within family violence service delivery
  • Holds a tertiary qualification in Social Work and ability to be accredited with the AASW
  • Experience facilitating and delivering family violence specific training
  • A values-based work application and associated behaviours.
