Are you an experienced Cook who is passionate about creating highly quality and nutritious meals for children? If you are, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Set in a stunning natural environment, Windermere’s Frankston Early Learning Centre (ELC) offers a caring and supportive learning environment for children. From extensive, interactive outside play spaces – complete with veggie garden – to dedicated workrooms and separate sleep rooms for infants, children will be encouraged to thrive. Our purpose designed ELC is a first class facility offering regular and structured care.
Our Early Childhood Service Cook is an essential and valued member of our team. This role requires an understanding of children’s health and wellbeing and how this is incorporated in an early learning service. Our open plan kitchen and dining space gives the opportunity for children to engage and participate in the cooking process, requiring someone who is able to support their learning and engage with them in everyday tasks.
This is a part-time permanent position.
You will hold Certifications in Food Safety (Food Safety Supervisor Training for Aged Care & Child Care) and have experience as a Service Cook within a large facility or to cook for large groups, with a preference working within an Aged Care or Childcare setting. As this is a job-share position with our existing Service Cook, you will be a team player with great communication and interpersonal skills.
We strive towards offering the highest quality education and care possible. We do this by attracting experienced educators who have the child as the centre to their pedagogy and practice. We also offer:
Windermere honours the ongoing cultural and spiritual connections, heritage, customs and beliefs of Aboriginal people, and pays respects to Elders past and present.
