Windarring is a Disability Service Provider in central Victoria providing a range of community participation, employment, training, and accommodation services with children, adults and their families.

This position is based in Kyneton & Castlemaine, but may require you to work between our other sites and work from home. You have access to salary packaging and opportunities for professional development.

The Role:

The Support Coordinator provides direct support to NDIS clients and their families to implement the funded supports in their NDIS plan. The role provides specialist NDIS advice, linking to any necessary mainstream and community supports, and building clients’ capacity to navigate the NDIS, resolve crises and develop resilience.

You will work collaboratively to solve problems and deliver for our NDIS clients. We believe that every participant should have a relationship with their Support Coordinator, but also benefit from our team. The role initially will also involve other administrative and support tasks within our corporate services team.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Exceptional customer service and person-centred skills and the ability to respond professionally and timely.
  • Highly developed report writing, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to competently communicate with internal and external networks.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work creatively, autonomously, and cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Sound IT skills.
  • Demonstrated respect for clients as valued members of their community and understanding their goals and aspirations.
  • High standard of professional integrity and accountability with an ability to demonstrate and authentically promote our values.

About you:

You will be a driven and energetic professional. You are a people person passionate about building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Preferred tertiary qualification in human services or related fields
  • Solid understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and strong understanding of how disability can impact on a person's life.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to link with the community, funded and mainstream services.
  • Ability to work in a sensitive, complex, and demanding environment with a high degree of autonomy and self-management.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own caseload daily.
