We are a leading Victorian-based drug and alcohol treatment organisation. For more than 30 years, we have been helping people rebuild their lives in a safe, caring environment, supporting our clients wherever they are in the recovery process.

We are looking for Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our team located in Nar Nar Goon North on a permanent part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who has AOD experience or a keen interest in AOD to make a meaningful contribution within a purposeful organisation.

The Role

Working under the guidance of the Clinical Lead or Registered Nurse Division 1, the Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), works collaboratively with all members of the clinical team within and outside of Windana and contributes to the nursing care of clients by providing assessment and treatment to residents. This role also coordinates the weekly General Practitioner Clinic and Pharmacotherapy program.

Who we're looking for

The person we're looking for will have:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with medication endorsement
  • Completion of 4 AOD core competencies, or willingness to work towards core competencies during employment
  • Knowledge of AOD pharmacotherapy principles and practices (preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessment and diagnosis of adults with alcohol and drug problems (preferred )

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Nurses Award 2020 Level 2 plus above award payment.

The Maryknoll Therapeutic Community (TC) is a residential rehabilitation program for residents to recover and heal from their AOD dependence by exploring their own life experiences and learning from the experience and insights of others.
