About the Program

cohealth operates General Practice clinics across the northwest region of metropolitan Melbourne, located at Kensington, Collingwood and Fitzroy. All the clinics provide a variety of GP and other allied health services funded through the Medicare Benefits Scheme. The focus of the clinics is on integrated care for our local communities particularly for people with chronic conditions and complex needs. As a key part of cohealth's service offering, the GP practices are a major gateway into other health and wellbeing services across cohealth's many sites and program.

About the Role

This busy and interesting role will be split between the day to day running of the Medical Practices at Fitzroy and Innerspace. Your major areas of responsibility will include oversight of billings and appointments, management of rosters and scheduling, setting up of new doctors, and ordering equipment and/or consumables along with management of other resources and trouble-shooting issues as they arise.

This position would be ideally suited to someone who:

  • Has an appropriate qualification in Health, Administration or Business;
  • Is a skilled program administrator, with high levels of organisation skills;
  • Has demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule including ability to maximise Medicare and other income sources;
  • Possesses a flexible nature and the ability to multi-task on a variety of diverse work;
  • Has established leadership skills with experience in leading and managing a team by inspiring confidence in and displaying behaviours in accordance with the organisation's values;
  • Is a good communicator with the ability to establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of people; and
  • Holds a current drivers licence
