    Western Victoria Primary Health Network (PHN) is responsible for increasing the efficiency, effectiveness and coordination of health services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes. 

    Working together with community and health industry partners, Western Victoria PHN is committed to strengthening the primary healthcare system, based on local needs. Our four regional centres, in Ballarat, Geelong, Horsham and Warrnambool, drive local engagement and ensure strong rural and regional connections, through the development of local community and clinical councils.

    About the Role

    The healthcare sector is aiming for NetZero by 2040 and we intend to provide leadership in the primary care sector.

    We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, ideally with sustainability experience, that can lead our organisation and region to achieve BCorp certification.

    Work with us and our members across the region to deliver a project that will create a better, more sustainable future. Through trusted partnerships with our primary care members, health service partners and others, you will deliver an innovative program that will reduce the carbon footprint of the primary care sector.

    Duties

    • Reporting to the Executive Director Operations, you will undertake planning, analysis & implementation of the “Green Primary Care” project
    • Manage, contribute and be accountable for the full life cycle of the project, in line with the project management plan, timeline and budget parameters.
    • Identify key stakeholders that have an interest in the project’s outcome, including key connections at national, state and local levels. 

    Sustainability:

    • Undertake BCorp benchmarking assessment of the organisation, prepare documents for the BCorp assessment and follow through with any requirements to become BCorp certified.
    • Oversee the project development and direction which may include developing feasibility studies, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, multi-criteria analyses, economic modeling, data collection and decision-making support to assist the organisation and advisory group in sustainability decision making.

    Skills & Experience

    • Tertiary qualification in project management, business development, economics, sustainability, health, or related field, and/or relevant professional experience
    • Demonstrated experience in project management (at least 2 years), preferably in a healthcare or sustainability setting
    • Demonstrated high-level organisational, analytical & problem-solving skills
    • Capacity to work both autonomously & in a team environment on a range of diverse issues to meet project requirements & deadlines
    • Excellent engagement and communication skills

    Sustainability an advantage:

    • Experience in achieving BCorp certification or something similar (ie ISCA, Green Star)
    • Experience in using either GRI Standards, UN Global Compact, or UN Sustainable Development Goals

    Employee Requirements

    • Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
    • A current Victorian driver’s licence
    • Evidence of current COVID-19 vaccinations
