About the role
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Philanthropy will drive our diversified funding strategy to underpin our financial sustainability for the long term.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the executive team in developing and implementing the organisation’s 3-year strategy.
- Lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s Philanthropic strategy and annual operation plan.
- Support the CEO in managing major donors and corporate partnerships including actively seeking sponsorships, trusted partnerships and prospect matching.
- Develop the organisation’s bequest program and manage and maintain relationships with bequestors and bequest prospects.
- Responsible for and in conjunction with Marketing and Communications, developing and updating donor proposals, project plans, and progress reports.
- Manage and maintain relationships with Trusts and Foundations and PAFs to develop proposals and report on impact.
- Oversee and manage the donor database, including updating, reporting and analytics.
Desirable skills/experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably within NFP sector
- Proven track record in achieving donation income targets with a successful history of generating philanthropic income
- Demonstrated experience of building strong trusted relationships with stakeholders both internal and external
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills to pitch successful proposals and grant applications
