About the Role

Case Worker - Brisbane Relief Hub. This role will provide case work, group work and other support services to clients presenting for emergency relief assistance.

  1. Provide a holistic and wrap around case management service to clients referred for case work and maintain all relevant casework records
  2. Assess clients presenting to the service and provide them with appropriate assistance in accordance with agency policies and guidelines and in a compassionate and dignified manner
  3. Support and assist other staff and volunteers in the execution of their duties, including undertaking relief work as required
  4. Undertake the development, coordination, leadership and facilitation of group work programs
  5. Provide a holistic service to clients referred for budget counselling and personal support

About You

  1. Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or similar field of study.
  2. Experience in casework and case management including assessment, identifying complex needs, case planning, referral and implementation of intervention strategies.
  3. Experience, knowledge and ability to work effectively with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples, cultures and communities and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse peoples and communities.
  4. The ability to lead and work confidently in a supportive, non judgmental manner with families and individuals with complex needs.
  5. Broad knowledge of the welfare system and agencies in Brisbane and experience in the welfare field, particularly in the provision of emergency relief.
