About the Role

The Administration and Intake Officer will work closely with the Way Back Support Service Manager and the Suicide Prevention Services Manager to ensure that the daily administration function of both the WBSS and other Suicide Prevention Services run efficiently and effectively to provide a quality service to people and families/ friends. This role will be responsible for the processing of all referrals and conducting intake screenings.

About You

Qualifications, Knowledge and Requirements:

Essential:

  1. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance held before commencing.
  2. NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You completed before starting.
  3. Possession of a diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline (such as Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration) and/or substantial experience in a similar role in mental health or community services sectors.
  4. Demonstrated administration skills with understanding of Microsoft Office 365 applications, PHN database, Iris, CIMHA and, Tech One.
  5. Demonstrated ability to utilise highly developed interpersonal skills and specialist knowledge to efficiently manage administration and IT systems.
  6. Highly developed communication skills, including written & verbal communication, customer service skills and good telephone manner, and the ability to engage with people, clinicians, staff and stakeholders.
  7. Experience with communicating with people experiencing emotional distress and ability to provide ad-hoc intervention & triage response to clients' needs
  8. Must possess excellent analytical skills in problem solving, making decisions and developing systems.
  9. Must possess excellent time management and organisational skills so as to meet deadlines for reporting.
  10. Possess (or can obtain) a working with Children check suitability card.
  11. Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
  12. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
  13. Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy.

Highly Desirable:

  1. Tertiary level qualifications in social work, mental health and/or other relevant disciplines.
