About this opportunity

The Footprints 2 Wellbeing program is delivered by a consortium of Rekindling the Spirit, Werin, Wellways and The Buttery. Reporting to the NNSW Program Manager, the Wellbeing Worker's role actively facilitates improved well-being for people. This program exists to build psychosocial capacity in people with severe mental illness.

You're a passionate, empathetic and caring individual who is looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others. You relish a challenge and new experience. You're calm, collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team.

What do you need?

  • Certificate IV or higher qualifications in mental health
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health services coordinating care for people with complex support needs co-occurring with serious mental health issues and other issues such as homelessness, trauma, contact with the criminal justice system and family and cultural separation
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills, computer literacy in MS Office and proficient use of technology such as databases and mobile devices
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence with an ability to undertake regular travel around the region
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old] and Working with Children Check, prior to commencement
  • NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Orientation Module Certificate is mandatory prior to commencement
  • NDIS worker Screening Check
  • COVID Vaccination Booster Certificate or valid medical exemption
