We are seeking a Coordinator to join our HASI Program here at Wellways Australia. This position will be based from our Bourke office in NSW, however we will consider applicants from Walgett, and Lightning Ridge area, as we do have offices in these locations. In this role as Program Coordinator, you will oversee the HASI program across these areas.

About HASI Program

The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is designed to work with participants to address key areas that support people who have mental health difficulties, so they can maintain successful tenancies and participate in their communities. A key outcome of the program will be supporting the participant to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery, and to assist in the development of self-management skills.

About Your Next Opportunity

Working in the role of Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing your team i.e., Recovery and Rehabilitation Worker, Support Workers and Peer Workers development and maintenance of day-to-day operations. In this role you will support the HASI team with their participants and also provide supervision sessions. With the support of the Regional Manager, you will ensure the effective operation and ongoing development of the HASI program and growth of the business within the region.

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Effective leadership within the team; ensuring the team is managed and supported effectively
  • Working collaboratively and cooperatively with team members and other support services, to ensure participants are receiving support and assistance to achieve their individual goals and plans
  • Administration duties; reporting and maintenance
  • Attending stakeholder meetings and partnership related conventions where required
  • Pursuing organisational and HASI promotion with Community Mental Health Teams and Local Health District

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a social science or related discipline
  • Current valid Drivers License and ability to undertake travel
  • Appropriate IT skills
  • Satisfactory Police Check records (no older than 12 months)
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check
  • NSW (Paid Worker) Working with Children Check, prior to commencement
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Evidence of full COVID vaccination or valid medical exemption
