Anti-Racism Project Coordinator

The Project is open to women only and is funded by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing and is in partnership with Living and Learning Pakenham. It involves coordinating the implementation of a number of activities associated with addressing racism, challenging racist behaviours, raising awareness about the impact of racism and capturing stories from women impacted by racism and discrimination.

We are looking for an applicant that can demonstrate the following:

  1. Experience in working in projects that address racism and foster social inclusion
  2. Experience in managing projects that involve multiple stakeholders
  3. Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal
  4. Ability to problem-solve, improvise and innovate
  5. Experience in securing resources and writing submissions to secure further funding
  6. Demonstrated understanding of all forms of racism and impact on communities
  7. Experience in working in community-based organisation, within small team and limited resources
  8. Experience in engaging CALD communities in projects and activities

The role is part-time for 15 hours a week, for 12 months and based in Dandenong with outreach to Casey and Cardinia areas.
