Wayside Chapel’s Heart Café in Bondi Beach is looking for a passionate café Front of House Manager to nurture, grow and lead a diverse team.

We are seeking an energetic, confident and experienced hospitality manager to oversee day-to-day cafe commercial operations alongside mentoring, coaching and developing the team.

This unique role will allow you to combine your skills and experience in hospitality management and a passion for food and coffee with a real opportunity to make a difference working with one of Sydney’s most loved and respected not-for-profits. This will include helping young people realise their potential within a supportive and caring environment — as a social enterprise the Heart Café forms part of Wayside Chapel’s youth employment program, Wingspan.

About You

• Previous experience (minimum two years) as a manager in a hospitality environment
• Strong understanding of effective café operations, including food safety regulations, reviewing and implementing efficient processes
• Ability to lead and motivate staff to perform to the best of their ability to deliver exceptional food and service standards and product knowledge
• Inclusive management style – and a passion for developing staff through goals, support and feedback
• Personable, kind, fun and professional
• Barista skills are desirable but not essential
