Western NSW Primary Health Network
  • Location: Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst or Broken Hill
  • Full time maximum term contract to 30 June 2025 (with possibility of further extension)

Be part of an exciting and innovative initiative by the Western NSW Primary Health Network. Sustainable Primary Care is a new approach to primary care delivery in Western and Far West NSW, which will ensure ongoing viability of Primary Health Care delivery including general practices as part of a locally developed whole of system model. Communities and other stakeholders will be involved in designing solutions that meet local needs whilst clinicians will be enabled to operate at top of scope within multi discipline teams focused on tackling the significant health issues that currently exist across Western NSW.

This approach will be delivered in two streams of work. The Sustainability Accelerator will include a detailed assessment of general practices in the region to identify and work with general practices to address urgent business viability needs. The second will assess medium and long-term sustainability needs on a Local Government Area level and to undertake the development of place-based local solutions in partnership with key stakeholders in the community.

Use your stakeholder engagement skills at a locality level to develop tailored solutions for communities through a co-design process.

You will bring together thought leaders from across the health sector, local Government and community members to develop place-based solutions that will address the needs of communities in Western and Far West NSW. You will play an integral role in the implementation of this new approach across the region to improve the health outcomes of our people.
